Calgary Choice Awards Gives Back

Proceeds from this gala benefit the Green Learning Foundation (GLF), a registered charitable organization devoted to children’s education. The foundations mission is to facilitate children learning how to become true innovative, critical thinkers. GLF supports breaking away from the traditional method of education, giving students the opportunity to explore the world around them according to their individual learning preferences.

One of the ways GLF accomplishes this is by creating scholarship opportunities for students who would otherwise be unable to benefit from this method of learning and education. The Foundation also supports a number of community programs and educational events throughout Calgary and the surrounding areas. These programs are designed with knowledge, learning and children as the baseline motivator and include The Learning Station (pre-school to Kindergarten), Drop N Shop, Free Public Monthly Parenting workshops and Teacher Training workshops on identifying a child’s individual learning style therefore enabling them to flourish and embrace the love of lifelong learning.

Education for our children is a critical component to a successful future and GLF believes in ensuring an enriched environment for our children to establish both success in life and academics.
